Not quite the same as "Apples for Sale," manikins are not something you're likely to just stumble across, especially if you live in a smaller city or town. That does not mean that you can't get the mannequin you want to display that lovely dress line on... just that you have to look somewhere else.

Like many items that are hard to find unless you're in a large, metropolitan area, manikins may be easier to find online than in a walk-in store. Not to mention that the competition online helps keep prices down, making your shopping even easier!

Do some searching via search engines and see what's available out there - you may be pleasantly surprised by the selection of styles and economical prices you'll find. Unlike the days of yore when a display mannequin cost over $1200, you can now have one of your own for one-sixth that price. (Some retailers offer display mannequins for even less than that, but be wary - like most products, when you buy a mannequin, you get what you pay for. Consider spending a little more for a more attractive, better-constructed mannequin.)
